Overview
• The environmental protection, recognition and prevention of hazards and pathogens.
• Monitoring of neurotransmitters in human neuronal cells for diagnoses of Parkinson’s and schizophrenia diseases.
• Nano-architectures for high capacitance long-term stability of energy storage devices, fuel cell and capacitors.
• Environmental recycling and remediation (nano for simple detection/extraction/removal of REEs, radioactive materials and toxins)
• Nano-catalysts for biodiesel production from waste
Novelty and originality
• Fabrication of the Hierarchy Nano-metric Order Materials (HOM) family with various areas of application; water treatment, sustainable and green energy, pollution management, urban mining, biosensors and bioelectronics devices, and disease diagnosis.
• Developing nanomembrane to solve water-related problems as interdisciplinary scientific breakthroughs. It is the first technology based on nanoporous membrane filters easily fabricated with different hierarchical designs. Selective monitoring and removal of hazardous and radioactive substances using high-volume, pressureless filtration provides an energy-efficient technology.
Details

Nanocatalyst Biodiesel Production from Waste: Fabrication of thermally stable nanocatalyst leads to biodiesel production with features of high product yield, cost-efficiency, and long-term reusability (Figure 1).
Glucose Biosensor for Diabetics: Portable sensor enables highly sensitive and selective detection of glucose from diabetic blood (Figure 2).
REEs Critical Metals Recycling: A fine chemical recycling to recover rare earth metals and precious elements from E-waste. The simple E-waste management reduces waste volume and protects environment (Figure 3).
Filter Membrane for Water Purification: Available in i) sensor; ii) tea bags; iii) pellets; iv) masks; and v) nanofilters for visual early warning of toxic and radioactive substances and for safe water (Figure 4).
Summary
With the aim of providing integrated solutions to major environmental issues, new know-how and expertise have been developed for industrial-scale manufacturing processes. A variety of application-based nanomaterials to meet a wide range of market needs are being produced in a simple, cost-effective and environmentally friendly manner.
