Robust algorithm for implicit finite element analysis in polycrystalline ductile fracture analysis

This study developed a new robust algorithm for a coupled constitutive model that integrates a crystal plasticity constitutive model and a non-local damage model. The developed method facilitates stable implicit finite element analysis of polycrystalline aggregates, which is expected to contribute significantly to a more detailed elucidation of damage mechanisms within polycrystalline microstructures.
