Introduction
Boehmite nanofiber–methylsilsesquioxane composite macroporous monolith with high processability and diffuse reflectance properties
Polymethylsilsesquioxane macroporous monoliths reinforced with boehmite nanofibers achieved high diffuse reflectance (approximately 99.5% at 400–1100 nm) and excellent mechanical strength through microstructure control via adjustment of the initial composition. These monoliths exhibit superior reflectance performance compared to Spectralon within the silicon photodiode detection range, and they are compatible with CNC machining and 3D molding. Furthermore, their water repellency and heat resistance up to 350°C make them promising optical materials for applications such as outdoor image sensor calibration.
